Hello Everyone!
At VolunteerMatch we are committed to making it easier for great people to connect with great causes and we are always looking for ways to improve our products and services. By now you've probably noticed some major changes on our site.
DON'T WORRY!
Things may look different but all the tools you know and love still exist...only now they are more effective and easier to use!
We've also added a bunch of new features:
-All nonprofit members can now add photos to their listings!
-There are fewer fields and fewer steps, posting a volunteer opportunity is now faster and easier!
-We have added a 'Questions' button to provide more effective technical support for our users.
-New interface shows a "preview" of what your listing will look like as you create it!
-In-line help guides you to write a strong listing that will attract more volunteers!
-Administrators can save a drafts of listings and come back to them later!
-Skills taxonomy helps you describe the professional skills you need in a volunteer.
***We also put together an instructional video to help you navigate the new volunteer opportunity posting tools.

I would rather have text to learn than webinars. There are a number of webinars that I am interested in but often my schedule does not allow me to participate. Plus webinars take more time to get to the meat of the materials than simply having access to text. Plus if it is availabe in text form, I could access it again when something comes up that matches the topic and activly apply learnings. -

Webinars need to be archived. This would make it easier for those of us who cannot participate on that exact day and time, plus it would be great reference material for future needs.

When searching for volunteer opportunities it would be nice to see a list of available skills that organizations have chosen from and limit the results to opportunities for those skills. I'm a software developer that would like to volunteer my skills, but am having a difficult time searching the opportunities for the skill I want to provide.

Thanks for the feedback Troy! We're always looking at new ways to improve our search functionality. I'll pass the idea along to our engineering team. In the meantime, I'd suggest using our keywords or advanced search features to tailor your searches and find the right skilled volunteering opportunities for you.
