How do I view my opportunity as a volunteer would view it?
How can you see your volunteer listing like an outside person searching would see it?

Hi Mary,
To view your volunteer opportunity as a volunteer, just follow these steps...
-Log into your VolunteerMatch account
-Select an organization to manage.
-To view more detail for any listing shown in the listing table, click anywhere on that listing’s row and a detailed view pane will appear below the listing table. From this detail view pane, you can see more information and take further actions from the links in the detail view pane.
-Within the detailed view pane at the bottom half of the page you will see a number of buttons appear at the top of the window (e.g. 'Edit' 'View Live' 'Duplicate' etc).
-Click on the button labeled 'View Live'.
I hope this helps!

I was viewing my opportunities from a customer's perspective and the screen presents the beginning of what looks like "Access Denied" in a gray box across every posting i checked. why?? My requirements don't show up at all, is that what the denial is for?

I went on from a colleague's computer to volunteermatch.org. From the home page I typed in Connecticut, USA and keyword blind. It brought up lots of my postings (I am prolific). I clicked on a few different ones and got the same access denied image. Can you tell me what would be appearing there ... I can use the show more/less button but under that I get the Access Denied. I think it is an internal filter. I will consult with my IT buddies. I am going to the public library today, if I don't get an answer before then, I will try from there or at home tonight. I did notice however that my Requirements to be a Great Volunteer are missing too?

Hi Lori,
If you still get an 'Access Denied' message after conferring with your IT buddy...can you post your screen shot in a new reply here on the Community Page?
As for your requirements, I will look into this further and let you know.

I have an account, we're seeking volunteers. I just made a listing active and when I search for it, it doesn't show up. Looking for Bill Wilson Center, we should see two listings but only one comes up

where is my listing?.-
Hello Lyndsey,
When I looked at the opportunity you created today I noticed you have not added any keywords. If you are looking for your opportunity using the location/keyword fields this might be why your not able to find your listing.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.

My new publications have "inactive" as status. Is there a delay for they are posted?
This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled
how long does it take to publish a new opportunity?.-
Hello Karen,
When I logged into your account I noticed that all of your opportunities are currently 'Active'. I merged your question into this topic so you could view your opportunities as a volunteer would--live on the site. There is typically a 20min lag after a new opportunity is posted--the time it takes to upload new information to all of our servers. After this time has passed you can search for your opportunity on our site. Keep in mind that most of our searches involve specific keywords. Make sure this is reflected in your search criteria (e.g. search for keywords you have entered into your opportunity).
I hope this helps!
If you have any more questions please continue to post them here on our Community Powered Support Page.

Why are my postings not showing to potential volunteers? I just made a new posting for basic volunteering, and when we go on as prospective volunteers, only one of our postings shows up.

Just entered a new opportunity but don't see any contact information!

can't see details.-
Hello Bonnie,
I'm not sure where you are unable to see your contact information. Typically if volunteers want to contact you directly (and not via referral) they will view the organization details page.
Can you give me some more information? Where are you looking for your contact information within the opportunity?
I'll look for your reply.
