Many Places to Donate Blood in the Wide World
While I applaud the call to donate blood in the recent article titled "The Wide World of Volunteering Disaster relief: When, where and how" in the June 2011 newsletter, I would like to let you know that there are many more places to donate blood besides the American Red Cross. Please keep supporting blood donation as a volunteer opportunity, but consider a link in the next article to go to the generic search engine for volunteering, or to one of the many other choices for blood donation in America besides the ARC.

Great point Bonnie. As helpful as the American Red Cross and its chapters are in so many communities, I counted more than 373 organizations that have blood donation in their descriptions at VolunteerMatch. We'll definitely keep this suggestion in mind, and feel free to name a few orgs here that you think we should keep an eye on! So many good stories... we need your help to see them :)
