Hi Nivia!
Posting a new volunteer opportunity just got easier! All you have to do is follow the steps below:
-Log into your VolunteerMatch account and access your organization.
-Click on 'Add New Listing':
-You will be taken through a series of 'Posting Steps'. For each step, fill out the required forms and click 'Next Step':
[Note: You can also save your opportunity as a draft and return to finish it later. Click on the button labeled 'Save Draft'.]
-Set an activation and expiration date for your opportunity or simply leave the dates that appear on the page. Click 'Continue.'
-If you would like to add Multi-ZIP coverage, select a coverage area from the pull-down menu. Our system will automatically calculate the number of ZIP codes in the area and the associated price. Click on 'Add Coverage' to proceed to checkout.
-If you do not wish to add ZIP codes to your listing, simply click on "No Additional ZIP Codes."
-Review your listing information and click 'Edit' next to any of the sections you wish to change. Click 'Continue' at the bottom of the page once you have verified the page's accuracy.
For further details about posting criteria check out our Opportunity Guidelines.
Hope this helps!
Happy Recruiting!

Samantha Spencer November 05, 2012 20:55So I just stumbled onto this website, while trying to find aebt application, and I want to say that this is a superb idea. Volunteering is one of the best things that I ever did and taught me the most valuable lessons that I ever learned. Does this site just cover a local area or is it statewide?EditDeleteRemove

FOOD IS A RIGHT NOT A PRIVILEGE – End all efforts to stop people from feeding the hungry
It has been distressing to receive so many reports in the past few weeks of people being threatened with arrest or cities adopting new laws limiting people's right to share free food with the public. People in England, California, Texas, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Florida contacted Food Not Bombs about having been threatened with arrest. Others report that their local governments are considering laws to limit acts of compassion.
The public is encouraged to share meals with their community on Sunday, April 1, 2012 in defiance of government's efforts to restrict acts of compassion. Please email our office so we can post your event on our website.

Sumokids in America is a production developed by the Sumokids Foundation. The Sumokids Foundation is a 501 ( c) (3) charity with experience in producing after-school programming. It has been working at establishing a means of financing its programs and it is to this end that it has developed Sumokids in America. The Sumokids in America production will be a series of Internet pay-per-view productions featuring family entertainment. The Business model is to host one pay-per-view event per month. These events will be hosted in different communities across America and Canada and broadcast over the Internet world-wide. The Sumokids Foundation will look to have different school boards, children hospitals, and community youth organization becoming active partners and assist in promoting the shows in their communities. The notion is to establish local hubs which will act as the anchors to an ever increasing audience. In other words we are looking for designated charities that thank out of the box and want to raise funds for their organization. It should be noted that the program actually succeeds with a relatively low number of participating addressable homes. Also, these addressable homes will be drawn from a world-wide audience. For more information please contact bray412@aol.com
