How do I edit an existing volunteer opportunity?

Hi Phil,

To edit an existing opportunity, please follow these steps:

-Log into your VolunteerMatch account

-After clicking on 'My Account' in the top right hand side of the screen, select an organization to manage. This will open the Organization Dashboard screen:



-From the listing table, select the opportunity to which you would like to make changes. Click anywhere on that listing’s row (as indicated below in purple) and a detailed view pane will appear below the listing table:



In the view pane, click 'Edit' from the toolbar underneath the listing title.

-From the detail view pane, you can edit the opportunity information including title, email, description, required skills, categories, location information, volunteer information, number of volunteers needed, commitment information, date information, time information and expiration date.

-Edit the desired information and click 'Continue.' Set an activation and expiration date for your opportunity or simply leave the dates that appear on the page. Click 'Continue.'

The problem I am having is that when I click on the volunteer listing to edit it, nothing happens. Can you advise, please, and let me know where to find your reply?

I am working for a member of VolunteerMatch.org. I would like to update our listings, but cannot figure out where to do that. We have many volunteer listings / postings that I would like to update. How do I update our volunteer listings? Thanks for your help!

Actually none of my volunteer positions even show up in purple. Even when I click on it, there are no edit options listed below the table or anywhere on the page for that matter.

OOPS...I didn't scroll down enough to see the edit pane! It is there but low down on the page and you can't tell - it LOOKS like nothing happened!

Save draft, but I am unable to retreive it from the listings of opportunities.

Hello Lucia,

The overall look of the dashboard has changed slightly but the instructions still apply. As explained above:

Once you've accessed the dashboard screen, select the listing you wish to edit by clicking anywhere on the corresponding row:



Next, click on the 'Edit' button:



Is there something specific you are having trouble with? If so I will advise accordingly.
